Smarties’ staff are all professional educators with teaching experience and a passion for helping students succeed. Our teachers are trained in our curricula, experienced, and committed to the success of our students. The Executive Director of Smarties is a former science teacher at a Blue Ribbon school. He holds a Ph.D. in Education. He has many years of experience coordinating tutoring and after-school programs, fostering community engagement in education, and developing partnerships between schools, parents, and communities.
Smarties has a long track record of excellence and success. Our programs are state-of-the-art and proven to help students develop skills for academic success. We take pride in our work and the success of our students. Four out of five of our students improve by at least 10% from pretest to posttest and half our students improve by over 25%. Smarties is committed to excellence and rigor, and we offer supports and proven strategies that help our students reach for the stars.
