With Smarties, even after the school bell rings, learning is not over.

Our after-school programs range from traditional Reading, Writing, and Math to our interactive series of programs including Science, Career Planning and Money Management. Our programs are led by experienced teachers, and we keep our student to teacher ratios low to ensure individualized attention.

Reading Plus!

Smarties’ reading curriculum is based on the five components of reading – phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Our programs help non-readers learn to read, struggling readers improve their skills, and proficient readers develop vocabulary and comprehension skills. Download PDF

Future Plus!

Future Plus! guides students through real-world endeavors. We help them deal with acquiring a job, post-secondary education, and building positive professional relationships. Discussions are held in groups and real life applications are brought up to help address the challenges of transitioning into the real world. We direct students into specific fields of interest by having them complete a Career Interest Survey which can help identify courses and topics that will benefit them in their future career.
